MANGE LE FUNK PRODUCTIONS present WORK by DJ SUFF 'Work' is inspired by the anticipation of clubs reopening later this year and the reminiscence of DJ Suff's early clubbing experience back in 1988. it showcases his love of Acid House and Detroit Techno.

On this epic EP we have three authentic sounding early house inspired mixes of 'WORK' that wouldn't sound out of place if played in a 1988 clubbing scenario. Stepping back in time with the vibe but with a modern day edge and style
The Soulful Mix is a melodic musical piece with a soulful vibe, it includes DJ Suff's trademark solid groovy bassline, chunky skippy drums, lush warm chords, a smooth rhodes top line and the encouraging vocal chant 'Are you our energy' which stems from the feeling of togetherness that was vibrant in the house music and clubbing scene of the 1980's Written and arranged by Suffik Sakoor Additional Instruments by Maurice Bird for Mange Le Funk Productions Mixed and Mastered by Rhys Hawdon for Mange Le Funk Productions

Detroit homage Mix is a respectful head nod to early Detroit Techno. DJ Suff steps back in time to his early clubbing experiences at the likes of London club nights Spectrum, Shoom and Future to re-create the rawness and energy of this mix. This twisted interweaving sub layered filtered bass groove, with driving syncopated 808 beats, uplifting strings, with a synth line that just keeps on giving will twist you into a dance floor frenzy! Maurice's Acid WorkOut Is also a trip down memory lane. As a clubber and producer making Acid house and having his music played in the clubs at the time...Maurice Bird was part of the pioneering group U.K. house music group Adrenalin MOD who were famed for their Acid House EP Phortunes released on MCA records written and produced along side the Detroit techno legend Derek May in 1988
With Maurice's wealth of experience through clubbing and producing at the time also his love of the funky squelchy stuff, Maurice Bird has produced an authentic Acid House remix that once again wouldn't sound out of place being played at a club of that time! It is a must for any Acid House fan as he turns out the TB303 madness just like we used to do back in the day!
